Orientation and Sensitization Seminar on Palliative Care
The first national seminar, titled “Orientation and Sensitization Seminar on Palliative Care” was held today at Nilfamari, Rangpur.
The event was organized by the Noncommunicable Diseases Control Program(NCDC) of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). AYAT Education participated in and presented a keynote session on Community Engagement in Palliative Care.
Sabina Alam, Additional Secretary of the Health Service Division, MOHFW was the chief guest of this seminar. Prof. Dr. Md Robed Amin, Line Director of NCDC-DGHS, Dr. Shamim Ahmed, Civil Surgeon, Rangpur, and Prof. Dr. Bimal Chandra, Principal of Rangpur Medical College attended the event as special guests.
The event included an interactive discussion and feedback session with about 50 participants, (Upazila Nirbahi Officers (UNO) from multiple subdistricts, Upazila Health & Family Planning Officers, local chairmans, medicine specialists, nurses, and journalists).
